Console Deals Case Study

Background

Console Deals was crushed by Google’s Penguin algorithm at the start of 2012 with their organic traffic grinding to a halt and a flat ‘peak’ December season later that year. As a result, the client was spending several times more budget on AdWords PPC to compensate.

What Did We Do?

We took on an aggressive content marketing campaign, specifically around press and survey data. We distributed several press releases throughout 2013 with link placements on leading industry media outlets as well as mainstream websites like Bloomberg and The Economist.

Results

The results speak for themselves, organic traffic went from 7,000/month in October 2013, to over 120,000/month by the end of October 2014 and the website is now a market leader, with organic rankings surpassing top brands like ASDA, GAME, Argos and Tesco.
